Background

Just like the growth of trees, children have their own 〝phot-synthesis〞; process.

We are to open children′s phot-synthesis.

Yong trees grow to become big trees.

They grow on fertile soil to become a full-independent human being.

Beauty is the start, the guideline and the purpose.

”律於美”一名的發想來自《論語.泰伯篇》,子曰:『興於詩,立於禮,成於樂。』強調的是文學的涵養、 禮節的重要與音樂的陶冶功能,這些都是教育重要的組成。我們更拈出『美』字,以之為律,內化「美」為人生律則。

Rhyme of Life comes from Confucius saying:

“It is by the Odes that the mode is aroused, it is by the Rules of Propriety that the character is established. It is from Music that the finish is received." 

Confucius emphasizes a person′s morality characters marked by poetry, propriety and music.

We include “beauty” which serves as a guideline for life.

以美為律,律之成美,相互融攝,別無際涯。

 

律於美創意學園,以『家庭共學』為理念核心,期許在日漸忙碌的現代社會,家長萬勿缺席於孩子的成長, 透過與家長充分的溝通與配合,我們願意吸納多元教育觀點,讓每個受教者,都能『如其所是』地成長。 希望透過這個平台,讓家長能直觀孩子的『本質』,並以此為基點,發散出符合他們質性的教養之道。

Rhythm of Life′s core idea is “Family lean together”.

We hope in this increasing-busy society, parents are not absent from their children′s development.

We communicate and work with the parents comprehensively and absorb their ideas′ of education to let every student grow as they are.

Through this platform, we and the parents observe the children&′;s real selves and let them develop as their nature are.

 


 

我們強調『個別發展』的重要性,這個詞必須從『自我覺察』的層面來解讀。與其追求功利計算的量化成績, 不如追求自我潛能的探究與發揚。我們並非鼓吹捨棄一切課業,但畢竟課業只是一時,受教者面對的是更長遠的人生。 課堂、書本裡所學,究竟能否陪伴他們走過風雨、克服挫折?是否有能力信任別人、關心別人? 他們如何與人相處、如何通過困難、如何知道自己的可能性,同時也知道自己的有限? 如何知道要保護自己卻不會顯得自私,知道體貼其他人的善意、關懷其他生命,以及珍惜日常物品……。

We stress the importance of “individual development”.

We don′t deny school work′s importance, but textbooks are for s certain of time, students have a long life after school.

Can school textbooks help them face challenges?

Can they trust and care for others? How do they know their potentials and limitations?

How do they protect themselves and not being selfish?

How do they know to cherish others′ kindness and other lives and everyday objects?

事實上,我們無法永遠陪伴孩子,但只要孩子養成了自信,就能靠自己與他人合作度過難關。 律於美期許成為這樣的平台,讓各種理念可以在此遭遇,在此交談,在此爭議,在此和解。理念實屬次要, 讓受教者有意願、有機會、有能力成就他們自己才是我們的目標。

As a matter of fact, we can never be there forever for our children, but if they develop self-confidence, they can cooperate with others in difficult times.

Rhythm of Life wishes to be this platform where all ideas can meet here; let us talk, debate and reach agreements here.

Our goal is to let the children be willing to have this opportunity and able to become the persons they ought to be themselves.

我們的孩子終將成為『我們』。我們的所作所為,都會在孩子身上開花結果,美麗與否, 我們都必須負起責任。我們有想法,我們也願意實踐,但我們要做的事還很多,期待您的參與…。

Our kids will someday become “us”, what we do will show up in them.

Whether the outcome is, we have to shoulder the responsibility.

關於學園的成立背景

 

Why we set up this school?

 

Q: 你們為什麼要經營補習班?

 

Q: Why do you want to run an after-school school?

 

A: 故事很長,很久以前,我們也在為自己的孩子找合適的安親班,很遺憾的,沒有找到。

 

怎麼辦?我們希望一般孩子有接受不同教育的契機;也希望給老師自己的孩子有個不錯的地方,安全、無毒的環境,可以結交朋友、探索興趣。希望讓很多人有機會在此針對教育內容討論、互動。

 

所以,只好為了喝一口牛奶,而養了一頭牛….。

 

我們希望不逃避不悖離問題,正因為現階段教育現狀如此,我們選擇直接面對、深入探討、研究在現有的條件下,是否能為每一個獨特的孩子做些什麼。

 

於是,故事繼續發展下去,中間有許多慘烈的過程,因為非補教業出身的外行折騰,一點一滴的,變成了我們的現在,經驗的累積,讓核心價值日漸明確,且讓我們繼續展望未來。

 

A:This story is long. We wanted to find an-after school, but we failed.

What could we do?

We want kids to have a chance to receive different education and provide teachers and students a safe, nice environment where they can meet friends, explore their interests and discuss, interact on current regular education system.

Therefore, we raise a cow in order to have milk.We hope not to run away from problems and research what we can do for each unique child under what we have.
